Apple repairs are high-quality, but out-of-warranty repairs can be much more expensive than third-party solutions. There are obviously broken traces on the flex cable. Disassemble the phone and remove the display assembly. First of all, check the logic board connector J2118 for moldy condition and dry Joint. If none of the above methods work, you may need to go to the store to get the home button repaired. I would bet its a bad homebutton connection on the new screen .. Bring it back and ask for it to be looked at again. If the connection is fine and still doesn't work then try an entirely new screen.
